Kenyan Edwin Kibet Wins Access Bank Lagos City Marathon

 In 2 hours, 14 minutes, and 6 seconds, Edwin Kibet Koech of Kenya crossed the finish line of the eighth Access Bank Lagos City Marathon to win the $50,000 grand prize.

The Ethiopian runner, Hayla Bazu Worku, one of the six quickest in the world, was astonished by the 39-year-old Kenyan when she won the top prize. To get a bonus from the race's organizers, he needed to beat the course record, but he was unable to do so.
