AS Roma's assistant coach, Salvatore Foti, has been given a three-match European ban after punching Feyenoord's Santiago Gimenez during their UEFA Europa League quarterfinal second-leg win.
Foti served the first match of his suspension during Roma's 1-0 semifinal first-leg win over Bayer Leverkusen and will now miss the semifinal second leg and final if Roma make it, ending his European season.
Roma is aiming to win their second consecutive European title but will have to do so without their assistant manager.
