Peter Obi, the Labour Party presidential candidate in Nigeria's recent general election, has stated his desire to become president of Nigeria.
He made this known during the presentation of a book in his home state capital, Awka, and warned that anyone who thinks he would give up easily on his presidential bid is wasting their time.
Obi, who finished third in the election, behind Atiku Abubakar and the President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, has approached the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal to challenge Tinubu's victory.
He stated his willingness to respect the outcome of the ongoing electoral dispute in court.
