President Muhammadu Buhari has requested that the Senate
approve a new loan request of $800 million from the World Bank. The loan is
intended to be used to expand the National Social Safety Net Programme. The
request was communicated to the Senate in a letter read by the President of the
Senate, Senator Ahmad Lawan.
This loan would be sourced from the World Bank. – More update coming
