Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky met with Pope Francis and Italy’s
prime minister, and is scheduled to visit Berlin.
Germany has announced a new weapons package worth $2.95 billion for
Ukraine. During his meeting with Italian Prime Minister, Zelensky expressed
gratitude for Italy's support of Ukraine and detailed fresh aggressions by
Russia.
Zelensky then met with Pope Francis, who has previously offered his efforts to try to end the war between Ukraine and Russia, but his offers to mediate have yet to yield any public results.
